Tips and AdvicesDriving a car or a motorcycle (especially a motorcycle) in Thailand can be dangerous. There are basically no rules except following the line of traffic that is apparently going in your direction. Shagwell’s management has survived many years by simply employing defensive driving techniques. Expect traffic (especially motorcycles) coming on your part of the road from the opposite direction. Pay attention to taxis as they stop suddenly or change the direction without giving any signal. The bigger the vehicle the greater the right of way. If you are not sure of what of how to handle the whole driving thing get a local. You’re supposed to have an international driving license but if not have a 100 baht note ready to provide to the intercepting officers favorite charity. And we wish you good luck. |
